Overview

When your child’s substance misuse has left you feeling helpless despite your ability to solve every other problem in life, Hope Starts Here offers a different path forward.

As a highly competent and skilled parent, you’re accustomed to finding solutions for even the toughest problems, but this challenge has likely left you questioning everything you thought you knew about parenting, and maybe even feeling shame and guilt for what’s going on at home.

This parenting journey isn’t for the faint of heart – which is why we’re glad you’re here.

This free 4-session mini-course introduces you to the evidence-based Invitation to Change approach, which focuses on connection and compassion rather than the tough love and distance often recommended to parents facing these struggles.

what you'll learn:

Over four targeted sessions, you’ll learn practical strategies that honor both your child’s autonomy and your deep love for them.

SESSION ONE: You’ll learn to use curiosity as a bridge to rebuild connection and understand the underlying reasons behind your child’s substance use, rather than just reacting to the behavior itself.

SESSION TWO: We’ll explore how to navigate the shame that often accompanies this journey and also practice the self-compassion that will help to sustain your sanity and ability to give support. (Even though self-compassion seems impossible or even weak right now.)

SESSION THREE: You’ll master the delicate art of knowing when to engage meaningfully and when to step back strategically, skills that can dramatically reduce household drama while helping you regain a sense of control.

SESSION FOUR: Finally, you’ll begin making sense of what feels like chaos by learning to observe and track patterns in your child’s behavior, transforming confusion into clarity and purposeful action.
