Overview
If you’ve ever thought, “What can I do to get them to change?!”
This workshop is designed for thoughtful and motivated parents who are looking for evidence-based strategies to support their struggling teen or young adult.
You’ll learn the details and insights behind what causes someone to stay stuck, what you might be doing to discourage change, and where people ultimately find it more beneficial to change. You’ll learn strategies to help your child move toward a place where growth and change is more tolerable and desired.
We’ll explore practical CRAFT techniques, address the complexities of peer influence and ambivalence, and—maybe most importantly—discover how your actions and responses can either fuel or hinder positive change.
This workshop is perfect for you if you’re ready to shift from reactive worry to strategic, compassionate support.
Who is the course for?
This course is for parents or caregivers who have a child experimenting with or addicted to drugs or alcohol. The young person may be a teen or young adult who’s substance use is negatively impacting their, and your life.
